This year i found my passion for social impact through biomedical engineering design and set the tone for my future work as an engineer. I won 3rd place at a local hackathon and developed a toy to improve a child's motor control ability.

HEALTH HACKS HACKATHON

Affordable wheelchair that grows with you!

At the hackathon we were presented with a problem statement: Lack of wheelchairs in under-resourced areas. In 24 hours we build a full size working prototype using PCV pipes and 3D modeled connectors. The prototype had an adjustable component that made it "grow as the child that is using it grows reducing the price. We ended up winning 3rd place at the hackathon.
